Case Lot Sale!

It's that time of year... 2 full weeks (while supplies last) of case lot sales!! BUT case lot sales can be overwhelming.. and sometimes you can be tricked into buying what you think is a good deal but in reality.. somethings are better left on the shelf than in your cart.

So let's break it down... here are the BEST DEALS for case lot sales. Disclaimer, I did all of this shopping and everything at Smiths Marketplace in Utah.




Peanut Butter (Generic brand)
Case of 12 (creamy or chunky) for $12! Only $1 per jar ðŸ™ŒRegularly priced at $1.50 for total case savings of $6
Chunky Soup (Campbell's)
Case of 12 for 12! Making it only $1 a can! Compared to the usual price of $1.78 a can, it's worth loading up for a rainy day.

Ground Turkey (Jennie-O)
Okay health and fitness people... this one is for you. Ground Turkey (90% lean) is only $1.99 each! (You can buy the case if you'd like, but this one isn't required). The usual price is $2.98 each so yay savings! ☺️and they freeze well!


Now... let's talk about the not so great deals. Guess we could say BUYER BEWARE not a good deal!


Canned Veggies (Generic brand)
Current case lot sale is a case of 24 for only $12. Sounds like a steal! Makes each can only $.50 cents! BUT... let's dive in. Regular price of canned corn is only $.44 cents a can, and cut beans are always priced at $.50cents... so save your back the trouble on that one and put the case back down.

Pasta Sauce (Ragu brand)
The current case lot sale with these is a case of 12 for $18. Making them $1.50 per bottle. Regularly priced at $1.68. Okay so yes you save $.18cents a jar ($2.16 total savings per case). BUT have you ever tasted the off brand of pasta sauce? EXACT SAME. If you disagree with me then you probably have too mature of taste pallet for this blog ðŸ˜‚. The off-brand of pasta sauce (Kroger, Great Value, Western Family, or whatever) usually runs about $.88cents a jar... so it would only be $10.56 for a case of 12 compared to their $18. Something to think about...



Rice sides (Knorr brand)
Shoutout to those of us who thought these were an elite dinner in college because they were a step up from the Top Ramen! 🙋‍♀️. Current case lot sale is $12 for a case of 12. You got it math geniuses, making them $1 each. Any meal for a dollar I'm all about EXCEPT... the regular price of these rice goodies are only $0.82cents 😧, don't be fooled by a perfectly round number!



I'm all about case lot sales... when they're a good deal. BUT do your math when you're out and compare prices! Hopefully this blog post gave you some good insight, and if not... then it'll probably help next time you watch The Price is Right 😊
